According to the report released by the California Food Producers' Union (CLFP) on June 19th, 2025, as of June 1st, 2025, the total inventory of processed tomato products in the United States was about 5.62 million metric tons (about 6.407 million short tons), based on the equivalent of raw materials. Compared with the previous year, the inventory increased by 13.4%.

In 2024-2025, the inventory of tomato products in California showed an overall growth trend. The high inventory at the beginning of the year provided flexibility for the market, but the decline in packaging volume may indicate production challenges. The increase of inventory for sale shows that enterprises are optimistic about future sales. However, the limited growth of consumption may imply that the market demand has not been fully released. It is suggested to pay attention to the influence of subsequent weather conditions and global economic situation on tomato prices and exports.
