Peru exported a record 159,000 tons of fresh blueberries from June 2020 to Feb 2021, exceeding $939 million, up 34.75% year-to-year,local media Agraria reported recently. According to Blueberry consulting, Peruvian buleberry exports have grown rapidly in recently years, with an average annual increase of more than 45%. In 2019, Peru surpassed Chile as the world's largest supplier of blueberries, supplying 23% of world's buleberries . in 2020,Peru continued to be the world leader in blueberry exports, With over 150.000 tons of fresh blueberries exported. Exports increase 22% year-to-year, to $824m, compared with less $600m for Chile. But exports increase only 2% last year as a result an explosion in Chilean blueberry supplier. Peru’s blueberry exported are expected to reach $1bn by the end of the quarter， up $200m from the same period last year.
