"Surge in Peruvian Blueberry Exports to China: A Growing Market"

According to Peruvian agricultural media Agraria, data released by the Peruvian Blueberry Producers and Exporters Association (Proarándanos) shows that during the 2025/26 season, Peru's blueberry exports to China reached 43,592 tons, a 19% increase compared to the 2024/25 season. In terms of export varieties, Mágica led the exports to China with a 30% share, solidifying its position as the dominant variety for the Chinese market. It was followed by Sekoya Pop (19%) and Ventura (14%), while Madeira and Rosita each accounted for 5%. Other varieties made up 27%, reflecting the diversified supply structure of Peru's blueberry industry tailored to Chinese market preferences. The report further noted that, in terms of regional distribution, La Libertad was the leading export region to China, with shipments totaling 24,451 tons, accounting for 56% of the total. Lambayeque ranked second with 10,024 tons (23%), while Ica stood out in third place with 7,889 tons (18%).

The final report highlights that among the major exporters to China, Camposol SA leads with an export volume of 7,580 tons (17%). It is followed by Hortifrut Peru (4,544 tons, 10%), Aqu Anqa II SAC (3,126 tons, 7%), Larama Berries SAC (3,093 tons, 7%), Agrovision Perú SAC (2,691 tons, 6%), and other smaller exporters, whose combined shipments total 22,559 tons (52%).
